Cookies policy | Harbour Crest Financial
What cookies we use and how you can control them.
This page describes cookies used on connectwebs.digital. For wider data practices, see our privacy notice.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They help the site remember preferences, keep basic functions working, and — if you allow — understand how pages are used.
How we use cookies
We use essential cookies required for core site functions such as remembering your cookie choice. We use optional analytics cookies only if you accept them via the cookie banner. Rejecting optional cookies does not block browsing, forms, or reading the journal.
Cookies table
| Name | Purpose | Duration | Provider |
|---|---|---|---|
| harbourcrest_cookie_consent | Stores whether you accepted or rejected optional cookies | 1 year (localStorage) | Harbour Crest Financial |
| hc_session_affinity | Essential load-balancing / session continuity on hosting where used | Session | Hosting provider |
| _hc_analytics | Optional aggregate measurement of page views on advice and journal pages | 6 months | Harbour Crest Financial (first-party) |
| _hc_analytics_id | Optional anonymous visitor identifier for analytics totals | 6 months | Harbour Crest Financial (first-party) |
Essential versus analytics
Essential cookies (and equivalent localStorage for consent) are needed for the banner preference and reliable hosting behaviour. Analytics cookies help us see which journal topics and advice pages are read most often; they are not used to sell advertising lists.
Third-party cookies
Embedded fonts may be requested from Google Fonts; that request can expose your IP address to Google. We do not load third-party advertising cookies. Image content may be loaded from image hosts; those hosts may receive standard server logs.
Managing or disabling cookies
Use the Accept or Reject buttons on our banner when it appears. You can also clear site data in your browser settings, which removes stored preferences and may show the banner again. Browser controls allow blocking cookies entirely; if you block essential storage, some preference features may reset on each visit.
Impact of disabling
Rejecting analytics cookies does not remove access to consultations information, fee guidance, or contact forms. Blocking all cookies may require you to reconfirm preferences more often and can affect how some browsers remember form fields.
